Dell Aims For 3,000 China Stores
Dell has announced plans to increase its number of direct shops in China from 1,800 to 3,000 by the end of 2008, Min Yida, President of Dell Greater China, was quoted by state media. The company will further develop its direct marketing model, but will continue its cooperation with Chinese retailers, such as Gome and Suning, through which most Dell computers are sold.

 

Hyundai Invests USD2 bn in China
Hyundai Heavy Industries, one of the world's largest shipbuilders, will invest USD2 bn in China over the next five years, the China Securities Journal reports. Projects will include a USD50m loader plant in Shandong province, construction machines, ocean logistics, passenger planes and new energy developments.
