NBC to Show 3,600 Hours of Beijing Olympics
American TV network NBC will cover the Beijing Olympics more extensively than all previous summer Games combined, with a total of 3,600 hours on 12 different platforms. The schedule includes 2,900 hours of live TV coverage, including final competitions for swimming and gymnastics. In the past, NBC and other U.S. TV stations aired 2,562 hours of "all previous Summer Games combined", USA Today quotes a statement from the network.

Shanghainese "Not Satisfied With Salaries"
A new survey of city workers by the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics showed that 62.6 per cent of all respondents believe that now is not the right time to buy property, and 55.7 per cent said they would not buy a car this year, Xinhua news agency reports. 13.3 per cent said their real income decreased in the last 12 months, as inflation starts to bite harder.
