Air China Orders 45 Boeing Aircraft
Air China has ordered 15 Boeing 777 and 30 Boeing 737 aircraft for USD6.3 bn. The planes are expected to be delivered between 2011 and 2015, and will increase Air China's capacity by 35 per cent. Last month, the Chinese carrier announced its plan to buy 20 Airbus 330 planes for USD3.82 bn.

 

Tyson Foods Buys Into Xinchang Group
U.S.-based Tyson Foods has said it will buy a 60 per cent stake of Xinchang Group, a major poultry processor in Shandong province, Arkansas media reports. Tyson also announced a major investment near Shanghai where the company plans to build a new plant for processing and packaging meat from 40 million chickens a year. Earlier this year, Tyson announced the purchase of a 70 per cent stake in breeding company Jiangsu Jinghai Poultry Industry Group.
