Ukraine Looks to China for Euro 2012 Help
After criticism from UEFA officials about the slow progress of preparations for the Euro 2012 European nation's football tournament, Ukraine and Poland are determined to get their infrastructure development moving. During her visit to Beijing this week, Ukraine's Vice Minister of Economy, Natalia Boitsun, said that "it would be a good opportunity for Chinese companies to bid" for the infrastructure projects including the construction of stadiums, hotels, roads and airports, state media reports. For the third-largest sports event in the world, Ukraine has a budget of USD26.12 bn

 

Hong Kong Unemployment Holds at 3.3 Per Cent
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Hong Kong remains unchanged at 3.3 per cent, for the April-June period compared to March-May, the government has said. The number of employed people decreased by 1,200 to 3,532,500. The labour force also dropped, by 1,900, to 3,653,900, leaving 121,500 residents without work.
