Chinese Oilfield Raise Production Targets
Changqing oilfield in China's northern Ordos Basin is targeting production of 25 million tonnes of crude oil, and 32 billion cubic metres of natural gas, annually by 2015, its parent China National Petroleum Corp. has announced. Daqing, China's leading oilfield, has also said that it will step up production to ease the nation's domestic fuel shortage - and aims to produce around 40 million tonnes of crude annually in the next decade.
