Tropical Storm Hits Hong Kong & Macau
Tropical storm Kammuri forced businesses, financial markets, government offices and schools to close down in Hong Kong and Macau on Wednesday, Reuters reports. Kammuri became a 'severe tropical storm' overnight and moved towards South China at up to 55 miles per hour. Many flights from and to China have been cancelled. Officials said the Olympic equestrian competition that will be held in Hong Kong on Saturday will not be impacted by the storm, although state media also reports that it has delayed the arrival of some horses to Hong Kong.
