Mannings Opens Shanghai Store
Mannings, a Hong Kong-based health and beauty chain, has opened its first store in Shanghai. The company already runs 50 stores in the south of China and is now focusing on Shanghai, Beijing and central cities, including Chongqing and Chengdu. Mannings competes directly with Watsons, a chain store with 200 outlets in Shanghai and other major cities. Mannings belongs to the Dairy Farm Group.
Jiangxi Company Signs USD150m Mineral JV
Jiangxi Rare Earth and Rare Metals Tungsten Group has agreed to
cooperate with Nihao Mineral Resources International Inc. and Geograce
Resources Philippines Inc. to finance a USD150m joint venture for
geological mineral exploration in The Philippines. The companies are
also eyeing the construction of an ore processing plant. Exploration
will start in the Autumn.
