TNT Express Opens Eight Branches in China

delivery company TNT said its Express division will add eight new
branches in China. The new locations of TNT Express will be built up in
cities of the Pearl River Delta and the Yangtze River Delta including
Dongguan, Zhongshan, Foshan and Shunde. By the end of this year,
offices in Nanning, Wenzhou, Kunshan and Shanghai will be added. TNT
Express operates so far 26 branches in China.
Wal-Mart Signs Contracts With Chinese Labour Unions

Wal-Mart has reportedly signed collective labour contracts for all its
employees at the 108 outlets in China, state media quoted a statement
by the All China Federation of Trade Unions. The contracts regulate the
wage growth for this year, paid vacations, social security terms and
payment for overtime. Guaranteed salary increases vary from location to
location, the source said. In Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning
province, employees are assured of a yearly wage increase of 8 per cent
for 2008 and 2009.
