Last week's earthquake in the Tibet Autonomous Region has "affected more than 60,000 people," the government said in a news conference. The initial quake measured 6.6 on the Richter Scale and killed at least 10 people.
The Tibet earthquake last Monday was followed by some one thousand
aftershocks, which affected 61,231 people and destroyed 989 houses, state media reports. Some 4,800 people had to leave their homes.
