Huawei's Sales Up 46 Per Cent
China's largest telecom equipment maker Huawei Technologies increased 46 per cent year-on-year in 2008, state media reports. Contracted sales stood at USD23.3 bn of which 75 per cent came from overseas markets, Chairwoman Sun Yafang said. For 2009, Sun expects sales to rise to USD30 bn despite the global economic slowdown.
Google Reports RMB973m Revenue
Google China recorded sales of RMB973m in the first three quarters of
2008, market research firm Analysys said in a new report. The entire
Chinese search engine market was worth RMB4.664 bn in the same period,
up 75 per cent from 2007. China's largest online search company, Baidu,
said its revenue increased to RMB2.275 bn, making up almost half of the
industry's turnover.
