Chinese Investors to Build Fiji Hotels
Two major hotel projects in Fiji owned by Chinese nationals are in the pipeline awaiting implementation, according to Fiji's interim Commerce Minister Taito Waradi. Details were not revealed regarding the value of the projects, or where the hotels will be located. Fiji received approved destination status from China in 2004, and recently granted visa exemption to Chinese nationals, who will now have their visa stamped on arrival.

NBA Seeks Greater China Role
The US National Basketball Association wants to become involved in the management of the Chinese Basketball League, according to Mark Fischer, Vice President of NBA China.  "We see China being a market because of its size and its very health-growing economy, as well as its love for basketball. I think the sky is the limit here for basketball and, by extension, for the NBA," Fischer told AFP.
