Three people were killed and 63 injured on Monday when two passenger trains collided at a station in central China's Hunan province.
The crash occurred at 2:34 a.m. at Chenzhou railway station. The trains involved were travelling from the provincial capital of Changsha to Shenzhen, and from Tongren, Guizhou province to Shenzhen. One of the trains crashed into two nearby houses, causing them to collapse, state media reports. Monday's collision comes a little more than a year after last April's fatal crash in Shandong province. On that occasion, two passenger trains collided leaving 72 people dead and 416 injured. |
