China has raised its state-controlled petrol and diesel pump prices for the third time this year.
The latest increase raised the price for petrol by 8.6 per cent, or "about RMB0.45 per litre," and the price of diesel by 9.6 per cent, or "about RMB0.51 per litre," according to the National Development and Reform Commission.
The previous price raise came into effect on 31 May, when petrol and diesel prices were increased by seven per cent and eight per cent, respectively. The new raise was blamed on "recent international oil price fluctuation." |
