Veteran Australian golfer Greg Norman, who has just signed on to help 'revive' the Australian Open tournament, is also in talks to design up to 20 golf courses in China, Sport Business reports.
The former world golf number one is also slated to to launch his own line of wines and beef products in China. Bloomberg reports that Harley Kruse, an architect at Norman’s golf course design company, Great White Shark Enterprises Inc, said he was pursuing 20 golf-course design leads in China, each of which could attract a fee of over USD1m. “When we get our boots down on golf course design, it opens up to every kind of deal we have, the wines, clothing line,” Norman said in an interview in the Chinese city of Shenzhen. “China is the bright spot.” |
