Kone Wins Shanghai IFC Deal
Kone, the Finnish elevator and escalator company, has won an order to install 99 lifts and escalators in the new Shanghai International Finance Centre (IFC) in Pudong. The value of the deal was not disclosed, but is rumoured to be around USD10m. The 99 lifts and escalators will be delivered by 2009. The IFC is managed by the Hong Kong based Sun Hung Kai Properties Group, and will become a sister property to Hong Kong's IFC Tower, the tallest building in Hong Kong.
