Since December 2008, China has signed currency swap contracts worth RMB650 bn with central banks in the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Belarus, Indonesia and Argentina and Hong Kong, which permit them to sell yuan to local importers who want to buy Chinese goods.

Commercial flights into and out of Macau International Airport dropped 23 per cent year on year in the first nine months of 2009, according to the Statistics and Census Service.
