New Laos and Bangkok Flights Launched
Shanghai Airlines has announced a new route linking Shanghai with Chongqing and Bangkok. Three weekly flights (departing Tues, Thurs and Fri) between the three cities will launch on 22 January. Meanwhile, Lao airlines will open a new route between Luang Prabang and Kunming, Yunnan province.

China Top Emerging Nation FDI Receiver
It’s little surprise that China was again counted the top developing nation recipient of foreign direct investment in 2007, according to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). China reportedly received USD67.3 bn of FDI last year, 3.1 per cent down compared to 2006. More than half of total FDI last year went to developing countries, with approx USD224 bn, delivered to economies in south and east Asia and Oceania.
