Yuncheng Plate Making Invests in U.S. Plant
Shanxi-based American Yuncheng Plate Making Inc. will set up a USD10m, 30,000 square feet plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina. It will use the site to manufacture engraved printed cylinders for packaging, decoration and textile transfers. According to a spokeswoman, Yuncheng chose South Carolina because of its low tax rates and access to key markets.

Beckham Effect Coming to Shanghai
The commercial value of David Beckham's transfer to Los Angeles Galaxy is starting to become evident. After an injury-ravaged first season, Beckham will begin his second U.S. season with a club tour to Asia, including a friendly match against Chinese first division team East Asia in Shanghai, on 5 March. State media reports that Beckham will only play 45 minutes "to avoid injuries". LA Galaxy, which is now coached by Ruud Gullit, may play other games in China before heading to South Korea.
