ProLogis Expands Suzhou Logistics Centre
U.S.-based logistics park developer ProLogis has announced the expansion of one of its largest industrial parks in China – adding 613,000 square feet of facilities to the 27-building, 3.6 million square feet ProLogis Park Suzhou. ProLogis has acquired extra land to add five new facilities, at a cost of USD34m. The expansion is slated to open in the first half of 2009.

 

Toyota Opens First Chinese R&D Centre
Toyota will build its first research center in China in 2009, Tokyo Newspaper reports. The R&D centre will be located close to Shanghai, and will focus on developing car models for Chinese customers. It will also include a design office and a test-driving course. The report adds that the Japanese automaker may also develop other R&D centres in Tianjin and Guangzhou.
