Weight Watchers To Enter China
Weight Watchers International said it has signed a joint venture
agreement with dairy producer Danone Groupe to set up a
weight-management business in China. The new company will offer food
and dieting services in China. According to the World Health
Organization, nine per cent of Chinese men and six per cent of women
aged 15 or over will be obese by 2015, although independent figures
suggest this figure is under-weighted.
