Forget inflation in China, Beckonomics will be the talking point over the next few days.
The English footballer's inflation-busting transfer from Real Madrid to
Los Angeles Galaxy last year will finally pay dividends, as his club
takes on a lucrative three-match pre-season tour of Asia. Galaxy will
play in Shanghai, Seoul and Hong Kong. The tour kicks off against
Football Club Seoul in Korea's capital this Saturday, followed by a
game against a Shanghai first division team on 5 March. It will then
play Hong Kong Union on 9 March. All three games will be screened by
the Fox Soccer Channel.
