economy.gifChina is optimistic that its economy will maintain its robust development after the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. According to Shanghai party leader Xi Jingping, "The Olympic Games and the Expo are definitely huge boosters to the Chinese economy, but they are not the only driving force." Xi did not outline what measures will be taken to keep the Chinese economy at a high growth rate after the two major events have ended.
