Mozzarella Cheese Banned in China
China has banned Mozzarella chees imports after tests in Italy showed that some cheese products were tainted with a cancer-causing dioxin. The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement that importers must immediately stop selling the cheese and start a recall. All other Italian-made cheese products must undergo laboratory tests.

China Agrees to Milk Price Increases
The National Development and Reform Commission approved the price rises for Bright Dairy, China's third-largest dairy producer, and Shijiazhuang Sanlu Group. Prices for fresh milk and ultra high temperature milk (UHT) will increase by up to 14 per cent in certain regions, the commission said. Since January, producers of daily necessities need government approval to increase consumer prices.
