Chinese Internet giant Baidu.com has teamed up with Qingdao Haier, to jointly advance online media television services.
The terms of agreement provide that Baidu will supply the Internet
services and technology to sustain Haier’s online television scheme,
which will allow Chinese television viewers, access to Baidu’s services
with a click of a remote control.
The Internet heavyweight has further expanded its services by
collaborating with Nokia, which will provide built-in Baidu search
engines on Nokia’s handset models, in an attempt to further extend its
services.
Already occupying 70 percent of the Chinese Internet market, Baidu is
seeking to surpass Google, by providing much more than its core search
advertising business.
