Rumor has it that China Mobile will soon set up an independent Internet company to be called Yidong Hulian, which it will offshoot from itself.
The company will be responsible for the operation of China Mobile’s
Internet service which will include the newly launched Fetion.
According to an informed source, the new company is now in the final
stage of preparation and it may be formally licensed in within a month.
However, a representative from China Mobile says that they don't have
any news about the new company and as such have nothing yet to report.
