Six Flags and Gulf Finance House to Develop China Theme Parks U.S.-based Six Flags, the world's largest regional theme park company, is teaming up with the Bahrain-based Gulf Finance House to develop theme parks in China. The Islamic investment bank announced that it as signed a one-year exclusivity agreement with Six Flags to focus on new theme parks in China. The companies may also develop an unspecified Six Flags themed luxury resort.
New Chinese Air Route Cuts Flying Time From Europe Travelers flying between Europe and Shanghai can expect a shorter flying times, as a new Chinese air route cuts flying times from Europe. European flights to Shanghai, Hong Kong and Guangzhou will no longer need to go via Beijing, saving 111km (60 nautical miles) per flight and 475 flights per week are expected to use the new route. IATA CEO Giovanni Bisignani is quoted as saying that, 'This is the latest in a series of major permanent improvements to China's air traffic management infrastructure.'
First Direct Flights Between China and Mexico Aero Mexico will start operating the first direct flights between China and Mexico on 29 May. Flights from Shanghai to Mexico City will depart every Thursday and Sunday. Flights from the Mexican capital to Shanghai will depart every Tuesday and Friday. All flights will stop in Tijuana, on the border of Mexico/California border.
