A new report by Airbus, entitied 2007–2008 Global Market Forecast, says that China will need 2,800 new passenger and freight aircraft - worth USD329 bn - to meet aviation industry demand by 2026. 

 

Airbus, which is keen to supply Chinese airlines with its newest models, says it has increased the company's market share in China from seven per cent in 1995 to 38 per cent in 2007. The company stated that its goal is to reach a 50 per cent market share by 2011.
