Its all systems go for Microsoft’s new research and development center in Beijing, which set the company back a whopping USD 280m and is scheduled for completion in 2010.
The new R&D Center in Beijing will become home to its increasing
Chinese operations and aims to eventually house 3000 researchers in
China. It is reported that the center includes two large buildings
equipped with environmentally friendly features, such as solar water
heaters and sensors that turn off the lights when a room is not in use.
The center in Beijing, the Microsoft China R&D Campus, will develop products for use in China and in the rest of the world.
