china_internet.jpgChina has said that while several websites will be accessible during the Olympics, admission to some sites will not, Reuters reports.

It is not clear which sites will be shut or screened during the games, Reuters reports and quotes the country’s technology Minister as saying that “We will guarantee as much as possible. Every country limits access to some websites, even developed countries.” But, the United States have again spoken about concerns regarding Internet controls in China, saying that they hope that people in China, full time residents or visitors, would be able to have access to all forms of information that are out there.

Meanwhile, Olympic organisers in Beijing have pledged that the media would have complete autonomy in reporting over the event.
