alibaba.jpgChinese E-commerce group, Alibaba.com has teamed up with Intel Corp to provide E-commerce PCs to small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in China.

There are said to be 42 million SMEs in the country of which only a small number provide E-commerce services. Alibaba Chief executive, Wei Zhe says that “Alibaba sees great potential in this market.” Media reports that Alibaba and Intel plan to select local PC makers to manufacture PCs in which Alibaba will implant its new E-commerce platform, while Intel will supply Internet security and services based on its chip platform. These machines may be launched this year.

Earlier this month Alibaba joined forces with India’s Infomedia Ltd to create online sourcing in India and in April its affiliate Alipay has collaborated with Amazon.cn to support its online payment system.
