The Alliance for American Manufacturing in Washington D.C. is pushing politicians and businesses for tougher trade policies against China.

Executive Director for the Manufacturing group said they only demand trade policies that are reasonable. He claims that China does not favor US companies and prefers to do partnerships with Chinese business. Reports quote him as saying "What usually happens is, China sets up partnerships and American companies have trouble selling their goods and services there because of their policies that favor Chinese businesses."

Alabama exports to China have increased nearly 750 percent over the past ten years, hitting $808.5 million last year, making it Alabama's third largest trade partner.
