Google China has officially launched its new online advertising product “Google Adsense” with small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) as its target.
Adsense works by registering key words as an advertisement
and placing them on the website of each of Google’s partners, so that
users can view them when searching online. The Internet giant is said
to have largely ignored SMEs in the past, but with increasing
advertising demands of nearly 500,000 SMEs in the country, it plans to
take full advantage of China’s Internet advertising market.
Google says that over one million websites worldwide have joined its
AdSense network and it receives 35 billion hits per day, media reports.
