Chinese Tour Groups to Visit U.S.
From 17 June, Chinese nationals will be allowed to apply for group travel visas to the United States, following a joint announcement by the China National Tourism Administration and the U.S. Department of Commerce. Selected travel agencies in Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai, and in the provinces of Hebei, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Guangdong, will be allowed to organise group travel. So far, the United States has only granted business travel visas to Chinese citizens, state media reports.

 

Huawei Plans R&D Centres in Nanjing & Spain
Telecoms equipment manufacturer Huawei Technologies has announced that it will set up a new data processing and R&D centre for 3G technology at Nanjing's Yuhua Science Park. The total investment amounts to RMB2.9 bn. The Shenzhen-based company also said it has reached an agreement with Telefonica to open a new research centre in Spain.
