Taiwan is priming itself to begin weekend charter flights over the Taiwan strait, scheduled to fly regularly from July.
With the expected arrival of large scores of Chinese tourists, eight
airports have been selected in the planning process. "All preparations
have been moving forward on schedule. We are confident... there should
be no problem," said Premier Liu Chao-shiuan, according to media
reports.
Taiwan's Straits Exchange Foundation and China's Association for
Relations across the Taiwan Strait will be responsible for dealing with
questions regarding charter flights and tourism.
