China Issues More Internet Multimedia Licenses
The second patch of information network audio and video programme licenses are going to be issued soon, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television said in a statement. These licenses allow companies to legally run audios and videos on internet websites. In April the government issued online audio and video licenses to 23 websites. To the surprise of many, popular sites such as Youku.com and Tudou.com were not considered. The first P2P website in China to obtain such a license was UUSee.com. Ku6.com was the first video sharing website with such a license. 

 

Hainan Airlines Flies From Beijing to Seattle
Hainan Airlines launched its new Beijing-Seattle route this week. There will be four flights a week, leaving Beijing at 4.20pm on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Flights from Seattle depart at 2pm. This route is the first new one this year linking a Chinese and an American city.  The airline said it offers a special student fair from June 9 to October 31. Travel time is slightly more than 11 hours.
