AEI Enters China's Energy Sector
American energy infrastructure operator AEI has purchased a 50 per cent stake in Henan-based Luoyang Sunshine Cogeneration Co. Ltd, the company said in a statement. The Chinese company regulates a 270MW cogeneration power plant including two coal boilers and two 135 MW condensing steam turbine generators. The remaining 50 per cent is owned by Luoyang Hailong Power Investment & Consultancy and Luoyang City Gas General. No financial details were disclosed.
Share Trading Volumes Slashed By Almost One-Half
Chinese shares dropped on Monday trading with weak investor confidence in heavyweight companies, particularly PetroChina and Sinopec, leading the fall. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 2.52 per cent, to close at 2,760.42 points, while the Shenzhen Component Index was
down 1.44 per cent, to 9,238.86 points. Combined turnover on the two
bourses dipped to RMB64.49 bn - down from RMB113.81 bn on Friday.
